The Finishing Touch to a Grand Design

Popular Channel 4 TV show Grand Designs were following banker Dean Berry and his wife as they attempted to convert a folly in Newport into their dream home. When the project was completed they needed some quality rugs to add the finishing touches and Modern Rugs was more than happy to help them.
The latest episode of Grand Designs follows banker Dean Berry and his wife Sarah. After 17 years of being away from their home town of Newport they decided to move back and construct their dream home. In 2005 they came across an 18th century folly that was for sale overlooking Newport and the surrounding nine counties. Originally an extravagant hunting lodge the building was left over the years and fell in to disrepair, but Dean and Sarah saw the potential to create a truly special place to live. Grand designs followed the couple throughout the 2 year project until the house was finally ready to move in. However some finishing touches were needed to make their dream home complete, these included some stylish rugs.
Dean contacted Modern Rugs and we were more than happy to assist him in choosing the ideal rugs for his dream home. The texture and quality was important to Dean as well as the colour. He wanted something stylish and comfortable yet durable. After browsing through our huge range of shaggy rugs he finally settled on our stunning Glamour Graphite rug in a large 200 x 300cm for his living area and a Twilight Black rug in a 200 x 290cm size. The couple were very pleased with the rugs and we were happy to see our rugs put in a setting which really does them justice.
The show is due to air on 28th January on channel 4, and if you watch carefully you may catch a glimpse of the rugs too!
